This
week, the Cardinal Nation must travel to the west side of Cleveland
to watch the Cards take on Elyria Catholic Panthers.
Kickoff
time for this game is 7:00, Friday night!
Elyria
Catholic is a school very rich in football tradition, much like
our Mooney Cardinals. The Panthers have won 3 State Titles. They
have won their first two contests, over Division II teams, by a
combined score of 77 to 13! The Cards will need to stay focused
and play well on the road to come away with win #3!
The
Cardinal Nation has been out in force the first two games @ Boardman
High School and @ home against State power, Columbus DeSales. Weeks
like this one are when the team needs a great show of support from
the fans. It takes roughly 90 minutes or so to get to Elyria. I
hope to see a large Mooney contingent in the visiting stands this
Friday night!
After
two weeks, the 2009 Cardinals are looking pretty solid! The defense
has played very well both weeks and the offense showed promising
signs this past week against St. Francis DeSales.
This
is week 3 in our quest to week 15!
One
